FREELANCE PRODUCER (2 month contract)

Based in Los Angeles, New York, Portland, San Francisco, and London our team consists of highly skilled artists, designers, retouchers, and creative producers, all with extensive knowledge and experience in visual effects, innovation, and technology.

 

Who Are We Looking For?

 

Steelworks is looking for a Freelance retouching producer initially for a 2 month contract with the possibility to extend. The role will be remote to begin with and is to help support our production team working across our US and UK clients. Ideally the candidate should be located in either NY or LA.

 

What’s The Day To Day Look Like?

 

• Following established processes to coordinate and traffic retouch and post production projects through all departments

• Quality check all imagery in detail before supplying to client 

• Create estimates and issue timing plans to accompany all projects

• Monitor the progress and completion of projects against published timings, raising and escalating any risk items that may affect delivery

• Maintain detailed logs of all received data and dispatched files within internal server

• Work closely with Executive Producers and Client Services to ensure timely delivery of all project requirements

• Handle all communications from client to artist via email and video calls

What Kind of Chops Do You Need?

 

• Extensive experience in retouching production, as either a retoucher or a retouch producer. An understanding of image layer structure, masks and channels is essential. 

• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is essential. 

• You have excellent organizational and time management skills, able to juggle work for multiple projects at once

• You must be able to manage project workflows whilst taking into consideration different time zones of the artists and the client  

• A positive communicator, able to coordinate internal teams positively and confidently

• Pragmatic and analytically minded, you can adapt to changing deadlines and briefs, predict potential issues and problem solve

• You have strong experience of working within a cgi and retouching project management environment. 

• Experience with client facing project management is essential
