At Steelworks, we’re fortunate to work with some of the best in the industry, which often comes with very specific direction. Freeform is different. It’s an internal concept, imagined and driven entirely by our team.

The challenge was defining it from scratch, exploring what it could be, how it moves, and how it feels. We approached it as a study in motion, texture, and light, subtly inspired by the footwear world many of our clients come from.

Once we established a foundation, we gave ourselves the freedom to experiment. Freeform is the result of that process.

Grounded in realistic textures, we were inspired by footwear’s more imaginative side. Balancing both led to a project where heritage and modern design coexist, especially in how materials like knit and foam interact.

Through tactile, detail-driven visuals, we explored lightness, the overlap between lifestyle and performance, and shaped it all into clean, well-crafted compositions.

At Steelworks, our primary goal is simplicity and minimalism, as well as beautiful, well-crafted compositions. We married this with slick lighting, soft shadows, smooth color palettes and captivating simulations. In essence, this CGI project is what our studio strives to achieve in all the projects we take part in.
